A Feng Shui consultation assesses one's environment and coordinates ones's desires with the physical manipulation of that environment, using good ergonomics and aesthetics, placement of furniture, colors, shapes, sounds, lighting, etc., to accomplish this.  Although there are some important generic principles adhered to, the practical recommendations made are uniquely tailored to the individual(s) who inhabit the space.  The person is the most pivotal part of an effective Feng Shui consultation rather than rigid rules that may not apply in our Western world.
